Buffalo Bayou Park offers 160 acres of beautiful scenery and skyline views, artwork, a nature play area, the ‘go-to’ dog park in the city, hike and bike trails and gathering places for visitors to enjoy outdoor activities as well as live, artistic performances.

The lovers of cycling and jogging can enjoy the Sandy Reed Memorial Trail, a ten-foot wide concrete trail located on both sides of the bayou.

During my ride, I was trying to trace the Monumental Moments, a series of 6 four-foot-tall sculptures.  The single word thoughts – Explore, Pause, Reflect, Listen, Emerge and Observe –  are placed at ground-level in unexpected areas along the bayou-side asphalt Kinder Footpaths.

Reflect what you desire and enjoy the ride.

For the lovers of cycling and natural beauty it is highly recommended to visit the Cycling Path that starts from the bridge south of the Presidential Palace.

The path passes through the eucalyptus trees near the Presidential palace and through the bed of the plan area near the traditional core of Ayion Omoloyiton area and below the bridge Griva Digheni where it joins the park opposite from the Church of St John the Baptist near Giorkeio.

Enjoy the ride!
